Is there some sort of special giratina?

I bought an Action Replay DSI and on the package was a picture of many famous characters from games, some wearing different clothes or holding special things. At the bottom left of the package I saw Giratina, origin forme, except his tentacle-like limbs were thinner and i think bony looking. he also had small thorns all over his body and his head armor looked more like a crown than it usually does. I'm like :eek: I MUSHT HAVE DIS POKEMON!

So, im wondering if this giratina does exist, and is there a way i can get him?

The AR people typically make some minor modifications to licensed characters they show off on the packaging to avoid having to pay a big ass licensing fee.

Randomspot555 is probably right, but it almost sounds like they just combined Giratina's Origin and Altered Formes into one, possibly?
