Changing names of pokemon - Pokemon d/p/pt

I decided to completely edit turtwig and its evolutions to create my own new starters. I have been successful in creating everything, except for one thing, how to change the name of the pokemon. Ex. I want to change "turtwig" to my pokemons name "spade". I tried to use PPRE beta 0.14 and that's what I used for everything else but every time I click "save pokemon" it changes the name back to what it originally was. I have searched every pokemon hacking/editing site I can find for the past week and I can't find anything on how to change it. I am willing to do it any way I need to, but I prefer to spend the least amount of time on this as I can. I can't imagine i am the ONLY person that has tryed to do this. Please help soon.

Have you tried thenewpoketex? Dump your msg.narc and try looking for the name in there.
