Janime6 Posted May 22, 2009 Posted May 22, 2009 (edited) This may not be asked often, but some people may not know where to get it: Q: Where can I download Pokesav?A: Right here. Same for this, but it could come in handy. ;P Q: How can I hack Action Replay codes?A: Easily (Do not take this the wrong way, I do not mean making codes are necessarily "easy". I mean that you can easily "start hacking/coding".): First off, you need an emulator. (No$GBA or iDeaS are what I would recommend.) Second, a ROM. A ROM is obtained by buying the game and dumping it using a flash cart. Third, the program needed for hacking the game. There are various programs. I use HasteDS, Emuhaste and EmuCheat. You can easily find them by searching them. Fourth, once you have one of those here is what to do with them when you are playing a game on the emulator: HasteDS is specifically used for Nintendo DS Emulators, so you just click [snap <<EMULATORS>>] or [Attach to Emulator], it depends which you are using. (It is the first button) The English version: HasteDS_EN. Emuhaste is used for a lot of different emulators, which is why it is my favorite. So to pick the emulator you are using click [MODE CHANGE] and then you will see a list of a lot of different emulators. Find the ones with NDS_ beside them. It only has DeSmuME, iDeaS and No$GBA, so if you use another emulator HasteDS or EmuCheat are recommended. Well, just click one of the three, if you have them. Then to load the data in this one click [sNAP PROCESS]. (First button again.) EmuCheat is yet another emulator hacking tool for various emulators, as well. The English link is here: EmuCheat_EN. Now, simple enough, start your game playing. And click the down arrow next to [Emulator Select:] and the emulator you are using should be listed, click it. There you go. Fifth, now for the "hacking/coding" part. (This is where knowledge of Hexadecimal/Hex comes in handy) Okay, say you want to make a gold hack in GAME. You have, let's say, 34158 G. Search that in HEX, on HasteDS and Emuhaste. (EmuCheat can take Decimal and Hexadecimal Values) 34158 in Hex is: 856E. Search it and we get.....10028 results. Now, just spend some gold. Okay, you spend...5000 G. Okay, 29158, in Hex: 71E6. We get 315 results. Now, just a couple more tries should be enough. We spend 10000 this time. 19158, Hex: 4AD6, we get 12 results. You could test all of these addresses and find the code or you could reduce the amount again. Either way you are bound to find the code. Any type of Money code will be 32-bit, unless you don't get much money in the game. SAMPLE CODE: 021AC940 000F423F - This would make my money amount 999,999. There are many other codes that can be made. Easy and Hard. It just takes practice. The ACTION REPLAY TRAINER TOOLKIT is probably the best way to hack Nintendo DS games. It is a "live" hacking tool. What I mean by that is that you actually hack your own game that you are playing, so it is "live". I cannot use it, personally, but I'm sure it is the best way to hack Nintendo DS games. You use it about the same way as the emulator tools, it just has more features, I believe. It is easier too, because you can, well, make codes easier. In order to use it you need an Action Replay DS. (You can do something to use it with a Flashcard, I am not aware of how to, though.)Anyway, you can find it on the Codejunkies website, or on another site. It is not sold in stores, and it is not compatible with Windows Vista. Only Windows 2000 and Windows XP (recommended). Sorry about the Trainer Toolkit explanation. I have never used it, because I have Vista, although I do have it. Q: How can I find a game's ID?A: You can turn on your Action Replay and put an unknown game in and it will tell you the ID of the game in the lower left corner, unless it is different in the older Action Replays. You can see if Codejunkies has it in their database. You can also use this program to find a game ID: DSTT/NDSTT Cheat Code Editor. I am also sorry if anything is sloppy. Neo Posted May 23, 2009 Posted May 23, 2009 Q: What is a narc file? A: narc files are the games data that can be edited using various programs such as PPRE and PPTE.
