Twig Posted August 1, 2011 Posted August 1, 2011 Would it be possible to port an android or linux version of PokeGen?
Yui Posted August 1, 2011 Posted August 1, 2011 (edited) I don't think so, for Android. As for a Pokemon editor on a phone... it's really not worth it in my opinion. The hassle of dealing with transfer of files from phone to PC, or just managing files on a phone in general, makes it impractical. The UI would have to be really constrained too. There's not enough display area on phone screens. Not to mention they have to be touch-compatible, meaning everything is huge. But you can try doing one yourself, but it's not gonna be similar to Pokemon Generator. ~Yui Edited August 1, 2011 by Yui
Twig Posted August 1, 2011 Author Posted August 1, 2011 I was thinking for a tablet rather than a phone. The question was more whether PokeGen uses windows dependent resources.

Codr Posted August 1, 2011 Posted August 1, 2011 The question was more whether PokeGen uses windows dependent resources. It does, because I didn't, and still don't, care about other platforms.
arcee Posted August 2, 2011 Posted August 2, 2011 I also sort of want to question why one would need a Pokemon editor on mobile anyway.. Surely, it can't be that hard to use it on your regular PC? ;
sdfghjklkjhgfds sdfghjiuy Posted August 2, 2011 Posted August 2, 2011 It works on Linux via wine http://www.winehq.org/ sine most tablets are linux based it should work
