Avery Goodgame Posted May 21, 2011 Posted May 21, 2011 I tried just dragging a few .pkm's into it, and they all turned out almost completely wiped, save for name, PID, and a few other things. IV's, EV's, and everything else wasn't there. This is obviously fixed by simply taking the non-lazy route and selecting load from file, but just a bug I thought I'd share.
Codr Posted May 21, 2011 Posted May 21, 2011 There's an issue that causes Pokemon dragged into the boxes to always be placed into box 1, but aside from that, nothing else has been reported. I don't see how this could even be doing what you're claiming if you're using the same .pkm file when doing both things.
Avery Goodgame Posted May 22, 2011 Author Posted May 22, 2011 No, I'm talking about dragging it onto the program when it's not opened. Or assigning the .pkm association with the program. Whenever loading a .pkm file without explicitly going to file>open, it doesn't read it properly. Without the program open, try dragging a .pkm file onto the shortcut/program file. Nothing but attributes like the name, level, PID, and a few other things is read. It used to work, now it doesn't. And yes, I am using the same file. Just a small blip pertaining to quick individual file viewing. Also, I owe enormous thanks to you for making this program, and in no way do I mean to try to annoy you with pointing out a possibly trivial bug such as this, but instead to try to assist you in working towards an even better creation.
Codr Posted May 22, 2011 Posted May 22, 2011 I don't consider bug reports annoying at all if they're valid. I see what you're saying now though, I'll check when I get a chance and edit this post with the results.
Codr Posted May 22, 2011 Posted May 22, 2011 What version of the program are you using? I'm seeing no problem in the beta. Edit: Nevermind, I'm seeing no problem with either. Could you provide a .pkm file that's causing this to occur? Or is it just ALL of the ones you try?
Avery Goodgame Posted May 22, 2011 Author Posted May 22, 2011 It would be so much easier and faster to just take a video with hypercam and show you. It happens with every file that I have. I'll edit in the YouTube link in a few minutes. EDIT: Took a little longer than expected.
Codr Posted May 22, 2011 Posted May 22, 2011 That was a lack of detail checking on my part. (And a lack of reading.) There's definitely something going wrong, and I'm seeing it now as well, now that I know what I'm looking for, specifically.
Avery Goodgame Posted May 22, 2011 Author Posted May 22, 2011 Alrighty then, glad I could point something out. Best of luck to you, and thanks again. I'll come back if I find any other bugs/interesting unmentioned features. Insert quotations around the latter :u
Codr Posted August 3, 2011 Posted August 3, 2011 This is fixed in beta 25. The data was actually being read correctly, it just wasn't displayed.
