I've no issues with the program really but why can't I use the event buttons and what not. Events and Pokedex are greyed out for me... Not that it's a big deal really, just curious. If you want to edit events I would suggest using Pokemon Mystery Gift Editor 1.4.2. This would also be better suited in the Saves section of the forum where you can also find the program PMGE.
