Pokegen - How To Make Pokemon Work On Wifi Guide

Introduction

Hi, After playing around with Pokegen for a while know I have come to realise how troublesome it can be to make certain types of pokemon and get them to work on the Random Wifi.

So I have decided to create a little guide that will hopefully help you get on your virtual feet and make some for yourself.

In this Guide you will hopefully be able to make

1. A 5th Gen Egg'd Pokemon

2. A 4th Gen Egg's Pokemon

3. A 5th Gen DW Pokemon

So with out further delay here is the guide.

1. How to make a 5th Gen Egg'd Pokemon

This section will help you create a pokemon that will appear as if it was hatched on your 5th gen game.

This is what you will need to do.

Under the Main Tab.

1. PID - LEAVE BLANK

2. Species - Choose which Pokemon you would like to create.

3. NickName - I have found this is one section that you will mess up on. Here If you are making a pokemon in a Japanese game you will need to nickname it. I have found using the Alphabet at the BOTTOM on the dropdown list works.

So nickname your pokemon something that you like,

4. Experience - Raise the Level to 100

5. Nature - Here select the nature you want your pokemon to have from the drop down list. Eg. Adamant = +Atk - SpA

6. Held Item - Select the Item you want you pokemon to hold when you recieve it. Eg, A Life Orb for battling or Master Ball for capturing that pesky legend.

7. Happiness - Set to 255 if you want MAX Happiness for evolution or Return, Set to 0 if you want MAX Strength for Frustration

8. Ability - Set to your required Ability. Note - You cant set DW abilities here. So for example set your Charizard with Blaze

9. Form - This depend if you are using a Rotom or Deoxys, etc. Set it to the form you need, eg Wash or Speed

10. Country - Set this to the country of the game where your pokemon originated (JP Black, US White Etc)

11. Origin - Select which game your pokemon has come from - So Black or White if it is 5th Gen

12. The Click Boxes - Now Select which gender you want, whether you want pokerus, Shiny, or the pokemon in a an Egg. (I dont recomment the Egg box)

Under the Met Tab - Important

1. Game - Black/White

2. Location - Select Sodateya Fuufu as the location

3. Ball - Select Pokeball

4. Level - Type 1

5. Date - This doesnt seem to matter so leave it at the current date

6. Encounter - Select the Egg/Pal Park/Event/Honey Tree/Shaymin option

7. As Egg - Click the As Egg box, this tells the game that the pokemon came from an egg.

8. Hatch Conditions - Game is Black/White, Location is where you want the pokemon to have been hatched in the game. I use Route 14 because it works. Date is what ever you selected above.

Under the Stats Tab

Under the Stats tab you will need to type what IVs and EVs you wish you pokemon to have.

I normally put 31 in the Stats I need and then put something really low in the ones I know wont make a diffence. For example if I am making a Roobushin I put a 2 in SpA.

If you want a Certain Hidden Power you can use the PID box to find out what set of IVs will give you that required Hidden Power. Make sure you Leave the PID Box blank though.

Also DO NOT Put more that 510 Evs on your Pokemon.

Under the Attacks Tab

Here you need to select what moves your pokemon will have. Because this pokemon is being hatched in a 5th Gen game you cant have 4th generation move tutor moves. EG Porygon2 with Magic Coat isnt allowed here.

Just use a 5th Gen Pokedex to find out what moves your pokemon can have.

Under the OT/Misc Tab

Here you need to type in your OT, ID and SID. You can find your SID out if you have a AR and a code. But dont ask me how lol.

For Extra bytes you can ignore this if you are not making a DW pokemon.

Select what Markers you want.

And whether your ingame sprite is male or female.

What now?

Now you need to right Click on of the Box squares to the right of the Edit Boxes and Set the pokemon and save you save.

You have now created a 5th gen Pokemon that should work in random wifi as long as its moves are legit.

How to create a 4th Gen Egg'd Pokemon

Why would you want to do this you say. Well if you want a Magic Coat Porygon or a Stealth Rocks Metagross, this is how you get one.

Everything to create on of these is the same as how you create a 5th gen egg's pokemon except you need to set the following Tabs as the following.

1. Country - Select what country you want your 4th gen pokemon to have come from.

2. Origin - Select a 4th Gen game, I always select Platinum. It doesnt matter as long as it is a 4th Gen game.

3. Location - Select Pokeshifter

4. Level - Type 100

5. Encounter - The same as Above.

6. As Egg - DONT Click the As Egg box

7. OT/Misc Tab - Type in the OT, ID and SID of your 4th Gen Game

If you have done it correct you should now have a 4th gen Egg's Pokemon.

However two other routes are to either, use a 4th Gen Pokesav to create a 4th Gen Pkm file of the pokemon you want and then use Kazo's Pokeshift program to shift the 4th gen Pkm file to a 5th gen Pkm fire and load that into Pokegen.

Or download the required pokemon pkm file from the main page and use the program to shift that.

Either way should work.

How to create a 5th Gen DW Pokemon

Now here is the one I want to figure out the most.

To create a 5th Gen DW pokemon it is the same as Creating a 5th gen Egg'd Pokemon except there are a few differences and here they are.

Under the Met Tab you will need to set the following

Ability - Now you can set the ability to the DW Ability if you wish

Location - High Link Forest

Ball - Dream Ball

Level - This depends on the pokemon so using a good pokemon site should help. Ill post a couple of links at the end to help you all

As Egg - Dont Click the As egg box

OT/Misc - Insert your 5th gen OT, ID, SID and under Extra Bytes select 66 (0x42) and in the box next to it type 1

If you have dont this correct you will have now created a working DW pokemon
