ShinyLucario889 Posted October 20, 2010 Posted October 20, 2010 1. Is Pokegenerator actually a Japanese Program like Pokesav? 2. If it's not; how come the pokemon I created, using it, won't obey me without gym badges? 3. Also I've been told it most likely because: My Trainer Name isn't right, My Trainer ID isn't right, My Secret ID isn't right, or some combination of the 3 4. I've also been told, of the 3, it's most likely the Trainer Name. 5. How do I fix the Trainer Name correctly for a US Version? 6. If it's exporting the XML into Microsoft Wordpad; is their an easier way to get rid of spacing and stop it from jumbling up the code after you save, close, and then reopen it? 7. If their is please tell me! Oh, and thanks for any help in advance! Ra1d Posted October 20, 2010 Posted October 20, 2010 1)Codr is the one who created Pokegen, whether He's japanese or not we don't know. I haven't been paying that much attention to it,but if I'm not mistaken you actually need the badges for the pokemon to listen to you, even if they're hacked.

I haven't been paying that much attention to it,but if I'm not mistaken you actually need the badges for the pokemon to listen to you, even if they're hacked. Actually, I thought that if they weren't traded and they had max friendship regardless of level and/or enough badges they would listen to you, Mine are treated as traded for some reason...why?
Tbird Posted October 21, 2010 Posted October 21, 2010 Well if it's your trainer name that's wrong make sure you use the characters from the bottom section of the character map; this will change when the US games are released (if that doesn't work try vice versa) if that still doesn't work you've screwed up the T/SID somewhere, so make sure they are in properly. Not three threads below I found this: http://projectpokemon.org/forums/showthread.php?11795-Correct-Way-to-name-your-pokemon It basically says what I said; look a little .
Codr Posted October 21, 2010 Posted October 21, 2010 I'm skipping what's already been answered. 1. Is Pokegenerator actually a Japanese Program like Pokesav? No. The program is developed entirely with US-language software. No, I'm not Japanese. 6. If it's exporting the XML into Microsoft Wordpad; is their an easier way to get rid of spacing and stop it from jumbling up the code after you save, close, and then reopen it?Exporting an XML file isn't in a format designed for anything but for use with the Action Replay software, I think. You can view the data in Notepad/Wordpad/whatever, but depending on the save options within those programs, you might screw the file up for use in the AR software.
ShinyLucario889 Posted October 21, 2010 Author Posted October 21, 2010 Okay thanks,CODR ;but I want to know how to make my Soul Silver team be treated as non-traded.(my Heart Gold team I'll worry about next) Anyway, here's my current Poke files/attachments and generated code for them, can you see what you can do...please? Codr Posted October 21, 2010 Posted October 21, 2010 I want to know how to make my Soul Silver team be treated as non-traded This has been answered/explained in detail so many times in so many places throughout this whole forum and in the PokeGen main thread. Trainer IDs, name, and gender. It's that simple. You either have them matching your save file or you don't. The trainer name is case-sensitive and must use the appropriate character values.
Codr Posted October 22, 2010 Posted October 22, 2010 I definitely don't have the tolerance for this. Someone else will have to help you, since you won't help yourself.

Ra1d Posted October 22, 2010 Posted October 22, 2010 Dude,just play with pokegen options,it'll come to you.
ShinyLucario889 Posted October 22, 2010 Author Posted October 22, 2010 Dude, just play with pokegen options,it'll come to you. Thanks, I'll try! See ya! Oh, and CODR, how about a video as an apology? Yes I was being sincere in that last statement to you though. So, here you go! :\ [video=hulu;fl4UzFYPjCmfE-O8PJ751A]
