Magikarp sizes

So i have 2 Magikarp one is 45 inches and another that is 27.7 inches

I am curious as to what controls their size

it is not a big deal if you are board one weekend you can poke the karps a bit

If only my schedule was that consistent.

If it's some random NPC that tells you the "size" of your Magikarp, it's undoubtedly just a simple formula applied to some value in the Pokemon data. This is nothing I have any interest in or concern for.

Seems like the IVs play a role, but I don't know the formula.

IVs: 0/0/0/0/0/0 Size: 10.3

IVs: 31/31/31/31/31/31 Size: 61.1
