Um....i have a suggestion.
maybe we could have a "going away" thread.
it could notify people so they know there not just inactive, and so those poeples friends could know they wont be on for <insert amount of time here>
is this a good idea?

People are free to do that in Off-Topic, but I personally think it's a dumb practice. If you have friends on the forums, you can give them contact information, or they can use the contact information that you put in your profile.
