  1. Hello. Don't know how active is this thread, but if someone can help me... so i'm trying to randomize Pokémon Y. Pk3ds gives me no problem, i can rebuild the game no problem, but when i load it, it seems like nothing is randomized. Still get the same starters, still get the Pidgey static encounter on Route 2, shops aren't random either... I'd suspect something regarding the CRO rebuilding (it is what contains the changes for starters, gift pokémon and static encounters) but the fact that shops didn't randomize and that's an ExeFS feature, makes me suspect it might be because i have to play the game updated (playing in 3ds) and that cancels some modifications?

    Also i remember having an issue with having to rename the .code.bin to code.bin to make some games work, but don't remember how it was for what games.

     

    For people complaining about getting errors with Pk3ds, just erase a file that gets created in the folder, called "randsettings". Getting rid of it should allow the progam to work correctly

  2. Hi, how's it going. Sooo, i'm getting some issues when it comes to randomize certain things. Namely, i've obtained this error when trying to randomize trainers. It's happened in 2 different games, and i don't know why. Similarly, i get an error when trying to randomize wild encounters in Alpha Sapphire. I got to randomize X with no problems, so i don't know why the issues now when i have extracted the rom the same way. ¿Any help, pls?

  3. Ok, back here again. I need some advice. So, i was randomizing pokemon moon. I manage to randomize moves, starters, abilities, wild encounters all this is ok. Managed to change the text for the starters since there is no DLLPoke3Select.CRO, so i believe only the text can be changed in this games. But the problem comes with the shop and TM randomization. So, for the TM's i heard that it only works if you don't have the game updated, is this true? And the shops... the CRO should be modified, but still the shops will stay vanilla. Is it because the game is updated, or it might be some other issue?

    For extra references, as i said, i'm not patching the game with Luma, i'm just extracting the whole rom, randomizing things, then pick up the whole rom again (all the files from the folder i use to randomize) and rebuild the rom as a .cia, then install it.

    Any ideas why it happens, and how can i fix it? Also, quick question. It doesn't seem possible to use pk3ds to randomize the virtual console pokemon games (1st and 2nd gen games) Is it possible, is some work on the matter being done, is it planned to, or do you recommend to just randomize the original gb game and somehow make it into a .cia to play it on the 3ds?   5. Hi, i'm having certain issues... well, for starters, last version of pk3ds from the github master doesn't have the executable, so... call me dumb, but i don't know how to make it work. And with older versions... to be honest, i don't know how to make it work. I managed once to randomize an Ultra Moon game, but i feel that the ExeFS part (the TM's) didn't get randomized. And now, if i edit something on the CRO part, the game just doesn't load.

    Not to mention that i get a 0kb file if i try to rebuild the game into a .3ds file. Any help? I don't even know where to ask now.
