    Okay...so....I did all of that....I got someone's tid and sid....entered that info into pkhex....shuttled it back to my console....sent the egg over....and a pokemon still didn't hatch as shiny. I don't normally mess around with eggs...but am I missing doing something?

    Okay. That bites. @Delta Blast Burn How would someone find their sid? I'm pretty sure their tid can be found in game but not so sure about sid. Would I just trade them and go in pkhex and look at a pokemon they've caught/hatched?

    What if I was going to randomly give an egg to someone and didn't have their TID/SID?

    Is there a way to ensure that a pokemon placed in an egg will hatch shiny? I've marked a pokemon as shiny and placed it in an egg, then link traded with a friend and it didn't hatch shiny....am I missing a step in making sure it hatches shiny? Is this something not possible? Thanks
