The other way to achieve what I want would be to change what image appears when you start a battle with a certain Trainer Class. Then, for example, I could change some other Trainer's image that has different music to Sycamore's, then add a new track to replace the one associated with that class, which I know how to do.

I'd like to change the battle music of certain Trainers who currently use the normal Trainer theme (Sycamore, for example, or one out of the four Team Flare scientists), and I believe that editing the "xy_sound.bcsar" file somehow is probably the way to do this. I've seen a video on how this kind of thing is done in Gen 3, but I'm working with Gen 6 here. I'm also a complete noob at hex editing. Does anyone know how I might be able to change the battle music associated with specific Trainer Classes with this file, or otherwise?
As a side note, I have edited this file before in order to change the loop points of a custom song I put into the game, which worked fine. -
Hi, if you're still here ABZB, this is really helpful to know, as I was trying to figure out why something kept spamming Substitute while it already had one up - however, I changed the trainer's AI to 7, and the pokemon started spamming another status move it knows - Lucky Chant. Is there something wrong with Lucky Chant, or should I set it to something else? If your desciption for 2 is right, it shouldn't use Lucky Chant while it's already active.
The trainer was Calem in XY, the battle at the tower or mastery, and he was using a Florges - moveset Lucky Chant / Acid Armour (never used this at all) / Light of Ruin / Substitute.
After this I tried setting him to 5, and he didn't spam it, he barely used it at all. The only thing I can think of with the 7 is that I had a Fire-type out, which resists Light of Ruin, so he didn't want to use that, but then surely he should have gone for Acid Armour instead?

Hi, I noticed in the GitHub code link there was an update in May this year which adds the Route 7 Snorlax to the XY static editor, which I'd really like to use. However the download link that takes you to the "drop" folder gives you a release updated to March 29th. Is there a way to get the the May patch in a .exe file, or is it just that the link isn't updated yet? Or is there a way to patch that update onto an existing version?

I've been wanting to make a randomizer for X with pk3DS, and noticed that Trainer Pokemon don't seem to have a function for setting IVs individually, rather there is a value from 0 to 255 which can be set. You also don't seem to be able to set EVs or Natures at all, unlike with Ultra Moon, which I did previously. I know this has probably been asked before, but can someone explain how the IV values from 0 to 255 work, and whether there is a way to set EVs and/or Natures for Trainer Pokemon in X and Y?

Hi, I'm getting a crash when trying to save changes to the Common and Script editors. I've put the crash report here: https://pastebin.com/umwzX5E3. The message is "Specified argument was out of the range of valid values", but this happens even if I don't change anything.
This issue was raised months ago on GitHub here: https://github.com/kwsch/pkNX/issues/343, and someone claimed to have solved it, but was instructed to make a pull request instead of sharing a fixed version, and they seemingly never did that.
I'm running the version from the January 31st 2024 pipeline.
