  1. Both are highly unnecessary.

Firstly, the PSP Go's being download only for games takes away trade ins when you're done with the game. I'm all for not having to lug around tons of games and other miscellaneous things, but in the long run you see no return.

Now, for the DSi XL; this is stupid. Sheer greed inspired this creation of Nintendo's. The DS line of gameboy's is likely coming to an end and they just want to see how much more they could squeeze out of it. There is no reason that anyone would need a hand held that big.

  2. Not sure how I feel about this one. It seems like the went with some of the same ideas that they did with Lucario because he came out so popular. I wouldn't be surprised if the revealed that he has a secondary type, and it's fighting. Hopefully the others to come look much better and have more to offer. Though I am glad that it is an entirely new Pokémon by having no ties to previous generations.

  3. I am kinds getting used to that. :P

Indeed as everyone said, Chicorita is the worst started of the Johto ones. But if i was new i would have had a rough time. Next game i will be using Totodile.

Don't disrespect Chikorita! I raised mine to level 100 in the original. I whomped lots of other Pokémon!

  4. Dragon Dance requires breeding... which no one really does while clearing in-game. Competitively, of course Feraligatr usurped Typhlosion as the best Johto starter, but for in game... yeah, Gator wins hands down. Water Gun is acquired at level 6 or 7 I believe, and it learns Ice Fang quite early as a Totodile, and becomes Feraligatr at level 30, earlier than the other two (although it becomes Croconaw at level 18, which is later than the other two). It also gets a plethora of physical attacks such as Crunch, Aqua Tail, Superpower and the HM Waterfall, and a Surfing Feraligatr is not a bad idea either. As for Typhlosion? Let's see... Ember, Flame Wheel, Flamethrower... way too many Fire moves and Fire that. And its Heart Scale secret move is... GYRO BALL?!! That runs off its PHYSICAL ATTACK AND Typhlosion has base 100 speed! Good luck using that if you want to. As for Thunderpunch? It runs off its physical attack now, so it is not very effective. Back then in GSC, Typhlosion was the best of the three... but even then, the Johto starters were not good news...

But you know Namexx... I think people are choosing Pokemon for who their favorites are rather than for competitive battling. At least that is the major consensus. Yes, Chikorita is CLEARLY the worst, but I am picking Chikorita. :|

Leave it to wraith to break it down in competitive terms and whatnot. I agree with everything he said by the way.

  5. Since Shoddy has been introduced to me I have been hooked. It is a personal goal of mine to make Shoddy as large as it can be on this forum. I believe the next step in Project Pokémon's Shoddy is to integrate tournaments into the forums to make it more of a presence so it can attract new members.

I have recently installed a new mod that will allow us to create tournaments and battle through to find a champion. Champions will receive forum privileges (to be determined later).

Comments, concerns, questions, etc. are welcomed!
