Ugh, no luck with my DS. But I had another idea! I used the PokEdit GTS Menu (found here: http://www.pokedit.com/gts/menu/) and it worked! All you have to do is put in your friend code, upload your .pkm file and change to PokEdit's DNS. It's pretty easy. If it doesn't work, your FC is probably wrong. Click the little "i" next to the it and click "change to it" and try again. Hope it works!

The exact same thing has been happening to me! I think there's something wrong with PokeGTS. I used it yesterday and it worked fine! I also have a 3DS...maybe that's the problem? I'll use my other DS's to see if it works. If not, then I hope I can use it tomorrow!
