huge bug trimmed game not compatble with 75 percent flash cards

Supporting this post. Trimming the rom was a HUGE bad idea. One thing is that works with SOME roms. Another is to work with every rom.

Trimming a game only removes useless data nothing is compressed

Even so it still gives allot of problems to some Flash Cards. The facts won't change even if is compressed (in my error) or Trimmed.

Is the same like what happened with the patch from PokeStation. They made the patch and trimmed the unused data and started to give allot of problems to many FC users. Till they fix it and returned it to its original file size. For a reason the game is 512MB...

Thats the other problem..Some Flash Cards can read them like nothing but the clones like Wood and R4i sdhc silver has a hard time reading them. Is like knowing its 512MB and wen reading it as a 296 MB is like being incomplete.

In short. It doesn't have the power to read compressed files. I've been having that problem with many other games with patches.

I think is because the patch cuts the rom to 296 something MB and that gives allot of problems to many Flash Cards

Also...Or is me or the new patch cuts the rom from 512 MB to 306 MB?

Acekard 2i: Working (On latest 1.8.9 Acekard firmware)

DStwo: Working (On latest DStwo 1.16 firmware)

R43DS: Working (On latest v1.58b firmware)

CycloDS: Working (2.30)

R4i Gold Pro: Working, needs modifying (1.49.2 firmware), Press "Y" and then "X" with game selected and change settings so "reset in game" is off.

R4i Dual Core: Working, needs modifying (1.49.2 firmware) Press "Y" and then "X" with game selected and change settings so "reset in game" is off.

R4 Revolution/Non SDHC: Working, needs modifying (Latest Wood r4) Press "Y" and then "X" with game selected and change settings so "reset in game" is off.

The cards that are "working but needs modifying" currently have a bug where you cannot enable the c gear without crashing the game. Make sure you save after the first gym straight away as a precaution in case you forget to select "No" when it asks to enable C Gear.

Keep in mind this may not be 100% the same for everyone, I am basing this on my results and that of people in the IRC.

Just some more stuff you guys might want, sorry if it's already been posted:

- Pokewood is now known as Pokestar

- Shizui is now Marlon

- Achroma is now Corless

- And the badges portion of the trainer card has a random double space between Virbank City and the info

I'll be honest with that...Pokewood sounds MUCH better then Pokestar. Shizui sound kinda ok but Marlon sounds kinda dorky. Achroma sounds bad*** instead of Corless...Sounds dumb too. I know is the Actual translation to the U.S. version but i rather see the original (Japanese) names then the already ruined translation from the U.S. Game.

You put it in your TTMenu folder and replace both of the files

Here is a modified DATs from Retro v6.80

Added ID and codes into the DATs for this translation patch and it should bypass error -4 and AP. Please let me know if it works.

Excuse me...How do i use those files? I'm using a R4i SDHC-Silver and wen i use the patch from this site i get also the Error=-4, then i saw this post and i was wondering if this will work on my R4i SDHC-Silver. If it does how do i apply those files from the Mediafire.
