    I didn't convert it though. Also, when I didn't have the actual cartridge and had it on a flashcart, the game save still didn't work.

    I have the same problem. I ripped my save from my Pokemon Diamond cartiride with an R4i Save Dongle, but it says "Invalid save file" when I try opening it with Pokegen. When I try opening my SoulSilver and White saves, it works, but not for Diamond. Pokemon Diamond..sav
