All the Gamestops in my area ran out of the codes already

X/Y has a name filter. I can see why "Prickle" was rejected, but Spike? Makes me wonder how many of my nicknamed Pokes I'll actually be able to transfer...apparently a name that's fine in English/whatever language will trigger it in another.

Apparently there's going to be an online storage feature with an annual usage charge.

There's also PokeTransfer between XY/BW (the mention of a linked application makes me wonder if one will be able to use it without Pokemon Bank). It won't work with Pokemon that they deem to be created 'illegally'...

Could you upload a screenshot of what happens? Try saving the pkm directly (without tabs) and see if that works.

I thought Wifi Random Matchup wouldn't work if the game detects you're using an 'illegal' pokemon (incorrect IV/EV).

After receiving Keldeo, I'm unable to view my WC album and just get a black screen (I don't know if the two are connected; probably not, just coincidental). The game plays fine though. Restoring a previous save doesn't seem to help. I haven't used any AR codes recently.

EDIT: SOLVED! I don't know exactly what happened or how, but a few of my cards in the original save were corrupted (still doesn't explain why previous saves had the same problem); tweaking the cards in PMGE fixed it. Hard to explain exactly what happened, but some of the Pokemon wondercards were showing up as Items in PMGE; changing those fixed whatever was causing the issue.

It is more of a tactics-based game. I'm loving the art style and new sprites (kinda Mystery Dungeon-ish, kinda not). Each pokemon only has one move, so the team-building gets interesting.

So who's picked this game up?

I got it the other day, so far I'm at my third castle (Violight). I'm liking the game so far, although the time-passage mechanic is a bit odd and it's annoying that I have to wait to enter the passwords to get new Pokemon (I have 11 passwords that I'm not 'allowed' to use yet and at least one of those pokes would be immensely helpful right now).

I'll have to check my savefile.

ETA: That was the problem. Apparently a while back I must have inserted the original WC028 (or Pokegen'd the ANA Darkrai, not quite sure) and it wasn't showing up in PMGE which is why I didn't catch it. Nuked the card ID in Pokesav and was able to pick it up. Now I know what to check if it happens again.

I just tried to pick up Darkrai, and got the message "You have already received this gift. You may not get another" Any idea what's going on? I only have the one copy of Black, my most recent (only have 7, all legit English cards) Wondercard is for Zekrom and I know this is my first time for this distro.

I like White Kyurem, it does look like he's been restored in the White form and I like Reshiram's design.

I'm having the same problem. My DNS settings are correct; I don't get a connection error, but am pointed to the 'normal' GTS (which should be impossible per the settings).

I created a level 8 Reshiram (hatched, following the directions in the Gen V creation thread) in Pokegen for a GTS trade, but the GTS is telling me "This Pokemon may not be offered for trade" (error 13267). Can anyone tell me what exactly I did wrong?

I know the error also applies to the name filter, but I don't see anything in "Reshiram" that would trigger it...

The ARDSi can't read/create B/W saves (I tried many times) and I don't know if there's an update that lets it. To be honest the NDS Adapter+ and Pokemon Mystery Gift Editor (program) seems to be your best bet.

Yup, that's the one I got.

On further research, the Platinum cart I've been using may be a fake (I asked on the hkems forums why the card wasn't detected and was told that may be the reason). A second copy (purchased at Gamestop) was detected and dumped/restored the save fine.

The Action Replay DSi I have has a MicroSD card slot for dumping/backing up saves (doesn't work with HG/SS and newer games); the one that works with the 3DS doesn't have the card slot.

The game still doesn't work with my adapter (I'm being cautious with how long I have the adapter plugged in and inactive after my previous one literally melted), but I was able to borrow a DS Lite to do it.

I have a 3DS AR, but it lacks a MicroSD slot.

I was just wondering if the ARDSi would work with a 3DS just for backup up/restoring a Pokemon Platinum save (for some reason that's the only game card my USB adapter doesn't recognize)

Well, the Ditto was my fault (didn't use the PID finder for a shiny); for the Umbreon the PID is the same as when I originally created it, but the Shiny box is not checked and grayed out. When I use the PID Finder to re-find it, the Shiny box is not checked but filled in completely (clearing and re-checking the box works).

...hard to explain, although there's probably a user error in there someplace. I'll try sending it over via ShinyGTS and see if that sticks.

I've had a 3DS for about a month now, and haven't any problems with ripping/tweaking/restoring saves (with the exception of Platinum for some reason) via NDS Backup Adapter. I've seen an AR that claims to work with 3DS, but have yet to actually test it out.

No-go with the adapter, I've tried everything. I did manage to back it up with the ARDSi, but the file got seriously messed up in conversion to .sav:

Pokegen doesn't recognize it as a valid file, so I opened it with Pokesav:

--Game start date is 2030

--Empty trainer name and party

The save has not been corrupted in the game and loads fine.

EDIT: The command-line converter works (after some fiddling); originally I was using the online converter which is apparently where the issue lies.

My NDS adapter isn't recognizing my Platinum retail cart at all (game works fine). Any ideas? The firmware version I'm using with it is 3.03.

I can probably rip the sav using the ARDSi backup function, but in terms of getting it back onto the retail cart...my main console is a 3DS, I could probably just get the 3DS AR, but would like to avoid getting any new hardware right now.

The issue with one of them was a PID problem that was my fault; my Backup Adapter had a (literal) meltdown and I have to get the replacement before I can test various fixes.
