  1. im trying to mod/create a chansey in PokeGen, to appear as one transfered from firered.

im not sure what all needs to be set for it.. is this right?

    Main>Nickname>CHANSEY\FFFF\B318\020C\3730

    Main>Origin>Fire Red

    Met>Game>Platinum

Met>Location>Pal Park (<- is that right?)

    Met>Ball>Pokeball

    Met>Level>1

    Met>Encounter>Egg/Pal Park/Event/Honey tree/Shaymin

  2. im trying to use a hex editor to edit my .sav file, but for some reason it cant make heads or tails of the .sav. usually theres some amount of usable amount of information, recognizable numbers, text, ect. are the .sav encrypted? i want to edit some in game things, anyone have any suggestions? thanks

  3. Cilan (Striaton - Grass), because i didnt know about that fire monkey pokemon you can get.. so i lost like 10 times against him... but in doing so i learned that i get less exp each time i beat his pokemon, as i level, something they newly implemented, an exp curve..

  4. I hope you realize that by using any external means to transfer or edit your pokemon, it makes them by definition no longer legit.

LOL well its a morally gray area? SIGH.. yeah thats true i guess, but i mean the only difference between manually exporting a ton of legit pokemon, and using an importing program (besides the time it saves), is that i dont have to go out and buy another DS.. i mean once theyre transferred, theyll be no different than if i bought another ds, and transferred them all over by hand.. i spent something like 220 hours on my firered a few years back, just grinding all day long catching every pokemon, sorting them, then playing ruby and trading, then sapphire and trading, and going to friends houses, and trading.. now that i think back to it i dont know how i did it..

in my opinion, it hits the same "gray" area, as uploading .pkm files at all, since youre manually placing .pkm files in your game anyway, instead of using a real DS to trade them in, it doesnt really matter that you used the same kind of program to extract them there in the first place.. if i had taken the Fire Red game sav, and manually dragged each .pkm from it, and placed them in a folder, instead of using a program that will extract and transfer them all, would that make them legit? in my opinion its the same thing, the only thing that matters to me, is that all of the pokemon were caught legitly, so all of their data is legit. no questionable moves, sketchy stats, like many "hacked" pokemon, who either have a Pidgey's moveset on a Raquaza, or the oh-so-typical "Caught in: Pokemon Leauge/Battle Tower"..

this is how i see it anyhow, so as far as im concerned, the pokemon are legit

anyone else, thoughts? (actually, i really would like to hear your thoughts on what ive said, Guested)

  5. now that ive actually used this, it works great, it doesnt just let you move all the pokemon, it extracts all the .pkm files manually, and throws them all together in a folder, in order. totally sick.

@m_plat yeah i tested legal.exe on a few too, and all my genders say invalid, but when i actually open them in pokegen, as their genders are obviously correct, i dont know what invalid gender means.. maybe it has something to do with trash bytes? (tho i dont understand really how they work, of what their purpose is?), ive yet to try any of them in gts or online battles, to see if theyre allowed to enter or not, have you? what did it say?

  6. heres the original fire red. my computers dead, and im away from home for a few days, so i have limited options, just my phone has battery right now, heres the firered.sav if youd like to take a look at it yourself

i think one of the programs i used to convert the pokemon is causing the error, im going to investigate into this a bit more, and hopefully have a fix soon. it will help to pinpoint exactly whats wrong with the pokemon, so the program can be fixed accordingly. if no one else figures it out first, ill be able to check it out in a few days when i get back

  7. heres gen1-3 NEARLY finished

    no net for 2 days

    uploading from the car

    netbook at 7%

see if you can sort them,

16 are missing, 3 of which idk which

here they are in case the attachment in OP doesnt work

    http://www.multiupload.com/989LV5OGMP

if someone can check these pokemon, i found a program to import all of them from my fire red, the program failed to import a handful, 16 to be exact, 13 of which i know, 3 of which are unknown. if someone could look over my attachment id greatly appreciate it, netbook at 4%, will die any second take care see you in a few days i hope the file is alright

  8. emerald uses 64kb .sav files, while fire red uses 128kb .sav files, which dont seem to work in enciclopedia pokemon, at least not for mine, im going to update my .NET framework and see if that helps.

i believe i may have found another solution however, ill be able to check it out tonight, and hopefully will be able to upload my gen 1/2/3 collection some time tomorrow (fingers crossed).

how do you get both genders/abilities? do you edit them on pokegen or do you actually catch each version? if youre committed to obtaining all genders/abilities, ill continue collecting as well

  9. i have a program to get the gba sav, and move it over to a slot 1 card, so thats not a problem (ill do it later today), but im concerned, how long will it take to transfer 384 pokemon over to a platinum? ive never done it before, is it a mass transfer, or do you have to do them all one at a time, or 6 at a time, ect? and then from the platinum over to a black or white.. seems like it could be a horribly long process.. but its such a waste to let an entire collection of gen 1-3 go to waste..

  10. i have a pokemon firered that has 384 pokemon, all caught legitly, i want to transfer these pokemon over to my white. ive already found a tool thats supposed to copy the gba sav data over to my card, so i will be able to have it on my computer. but once its there, will it have .pkm files i can drag into pokegen, and if it does, will they look legit, because they wernt transferred over to a pokemon platnum?

let me sum the question up with this, what approach should i take to move all of my fire red pokemon over to my white?

    please help contribute

theres not really a centralized place for all .pkm files, so lets start working on one here. this is a place to find all 649 pokemon. currently, the collection has a complete list of generation V pokemon, all genders, and all ability variants, which is a great start.

please upload as many LEGIT pokemon, as you can from generation 1-4. if youre not sure if a pokemon is legit, its probably alright to skip. uploading pokemon you have caught yourself is a good way to ensure the pokemon are legit.

    how can i contribute?

pokesav a handy .sav editing tool, tho for this project id suggest using pokegen

pokegen, another handy .sav editing tool, easier to extract pokemon

pokecheck a website to upload your pokemon directly from your game, without ever touching a computer

throw all .pkm files in a folder and zip/rar it, and upload it here (or megaupload, ect), ill go thru it, verify, order, and post all pokemon on this forum.

feeling lazy? not a problem, just upload your .sav file, and ill go thru and extract all the pokemon myself. if you dont want your .sav file public, you can PM me.

    UPDATE

ive uploaded gen1-3 in the attachment, however i suggest you hold off on downloading them just yet, there seems to be a bug with the program i used to import these pokemon, causing them to appear with their locations as "-------". ill be on vacation for the next few days, and wont be able to do anything towards fixing this, so hold off for now. but gen 5 is more than ready to be downloaded

    here they are

  12. so is there any method to refresh this data? some method to mass trade, and trade back fast? hah remember PokeBox for the gamecube? could trade a thousand pokemon at once

edit: actually, is there any way to manually check off which pokemon you have captured, in the pokedex data?

  13. hello everyone, in the pokedex menu, i see an option that says "caught all owned", and it works.. sorta, it shows the colored in pokeball, however my pokedex owned and caught numbers havent updated, so its looks pretty bad. is there a way to get the pokemon i own to register? all ive figured out so far is trade all 150 over, and back again, which will take a life time. suggestions?
