I have seen tutorials on how to do GBA insertion on desmume, and also how to make it so you can access Nintendo WFC (NOT WIFI), so you can trade through GTS or do random battle. Also saw some videos of No$Gba linking 2 pokemon diamond/pearl. All these you can find with a quick google search as I'm not sure if the last method has proven to work.

Hey! As I do not have 2 DSs I have decided to try and use Pokegen to "transfer" my pokemon, I have some questions regarding this however.

For example:

Trading Jirachi from Diamond to Black (Originally sent from Emerald to Diamond) , I view data and set it in my pokemon black. Naturally I change the location to (poketransfer).

However there is 3 things that get changed:

1.- Nickname: It is shown as something like this " \0134\0133\013C\012B\012D\0132\0133\FFFF\A148\020C￠". Would changing it to "JIRACHI" have the same effect as if I had traded it?

2.- OT: Similarly to nickname, the OT is displayed by numbers. Would changing to simply the orginal OT work?

3.- Nature: Gen 4 used to take nature into PID correct? So is there anyway to know what it "should" be?

With the help of someone I was able to actually transfer this Jirachi from Platinum to White and then to my own Black via "legal" methods, which is how I was able to see the changes. Let me elaborate on #3 a bi, in Emerald the Jirachi is of the "bashful" nature, when traded to Diamond it changed to the "Hardy" nature and when traded to Black it changed once more to the "Bashful" nature.

I have a large amount of Pokemon so I doubt I would be able to find that much help, plus it would be too time consuming. And I would like to get exact copies of my pokemon in my Gen5 game.

Big disappointing news!

I managed to trade Shiny Jirachi all the way from Pokemon Ruby then to Pokemon Diamond then to Pokemon Black, all using "legal" trades through the games. Original Game Cards, and I fear gamefreak blocked the PID for the shiny Jirachi on 5gen completely. It can't be put on the GTS in Black/White, strangely I was able to put it in the GTS of Diamond.

Mikz, I was just looking at the IR-GTS wiki and it states that .3gpkm files will be sent to the Gen IV DS games via Pal Park as of the latest patch. I'm about to download it and try this feature out.

Python is not opening the IR GTS on my pc, i think because it's windows 7 64, It keeps giving me module permission notices and crashes

Just use IR-GTS and it can convert a .3gpkm file into a .pkm file.

How can I do this tho? I understand ho to use IR-GTS, but how would I get the .3gpkm file into the DS game, say Diamond.? Exact same way?

Just put that .3gpkm on a 3rd gen save file and migrate it to a 4th gen cart.

Yes, that would be the easiest solution , But my GBA games are nowhere near nor I have a way to transfer the save to a card here either.
