1. Well, for one, your team hates one of it's own gimmicks: sleep. A Yanmega, with a little luck, will likely run right through you with Hypnosis. And while Mind Reader -> Sheer Cold is cool, it's a two turn set up... in which something like Deoxys or a similarly fast sweeper will destroy you. I probably haven't scratched the surface, but there you go. It looks like an interesting team to try nonetheless.

    I tried this team out a while back on Shoddy, and the Mind Reader + Sheer Cold combination didn't work. Is it always like that?

  2. You destroyed michu and mikachu! oh well...no one likes a hyped up rodent other then its creator :| I'm going to go change them.

    Sorry. D:

    I was trying to make them more balanced, but it's harder than it looks.

    Actually, now that I take a good look a Michu's other stats, you could probably put it to like 160 or something, since it's other stats look fairly poor.

  3. Base Stats: Michu <---Mikachu ---> Maichu ---> mikomo (not 4th evo its an alternate evo)

    90 <---HP: 80---------------> 90 ---> 90

    90 <---Attack: 80 ----------> 70 --->130

    60 <---Defense: 80 ----------> 85 ---> 100

    40 <---Special attack: 80 ---> 130 ---> 70

    50 <---Special defense: 80 ---> 90 ---> 85

    130 <---Speed: 90 -----------> 80 ---> 60

    Possible changes to stats.

  4. Calm Mind is okay actually. I can see it running it. But Agility is the big factor. Auto-haze is a REALLY big game-breaking ability, but I was hoping that low stat would offset it all. Priority moves destroy it :x

    Agility isn't a good idea I guess -__-

    Then suggest something X_X

    Hmm...several suggestions:

    1) Decrease its movepool.

    2) Give a harmful side effect to the ability.

    3) Lower the stats even more.

    4) Lollipops?

    5) Make it so only the pre-evolution has White Mist.

    @Pokemonfan:

    Good idea. I'm pretty sure we all have overpowered rodents, but balance is better, right? :D

    @Wraith (again)

    Garchomp and Wobbuffet.

  5. Added Agility as one of its moves. Would that be too imbalanced? It can already Calm Mind btw.

    Best stat is HP because it's a big puffy cloud (like Wailord, a big floaty whale). It seems to fit... I made it base 100 before, but I decided that'd be too much, unless that's fine in your opinion...

    High HP but low defenses tend to be their stat distribution...

    @ PF: you have WAYYYY too many moves. Not even Lucario has THAT much of a movepool. I'd get rid of stuff like Ice Beam and Overheat and stuff like that. There is NO way that thing learns ALL of that.

    Also base stats look way too strong o_O

    There's something called balance...

    ...that your madeup Pokemon is lacking, Wraith :P

    I don't think Agility or even Calm Mind is a good idea because Stormbus isn't made to be a sweeper.

    Remember that an auto-haze ability is pretty game-breaking, since your opponent has no way to stop you from switching Stormbus in.

    @ Pokemonfan:

    Nice copy and paste of the TM list :P Glad to see that it can't learn HMs.

  6. HP: 90

    ATK: 63

    DEF: 68

    SpA: 85

    SpD: 73

    SPE: 71

    Not with these stats :-/

    Although if there was a way to boost its speed... and that ability would ruin Baton Pass for Stormbus :o

    A great idea suddenly became a stupid idea >_<

    And PF, I don't know yet. You haven't filled in its complete data, so...

    Stormbus could use Choice Specs or it could use Rain Dance and Hydro Pump and Thunder for sweeping related fun. 71 Base speed isn't too bad.

    Obviously it's not going to be able to sweep 6-0, but for taking down set-up sweeper, it would be useful.

    @Pokemonfan

    You should have the base stats for all the Pokemon in the evolutionary line and the moves learned at each level for each one. Also, you should try to space the moves more evenly (five moves in six levels at the end isn't normal)

  7. Yes, the stats should be lowered. BST of 500 is WAY too big. I've already noticed that but forgot to fix it.

    And Dive, I can surely drop, but Earthquake is somewhat logical...

    BTW the two or more moves at one level was intentional.

    From what I can tell, Stormbus has a very diverse movepool and the ability to take advantage of any weather. I'm pretty sure that was the intention, but firing off Hydro Pump, Thunder, Shadow Ball, Energy Ball, Dark Pulse, etc. under the rain with a decent Special Attack AND removing the opposition's stat-ups seems too good.

    Earthquake is okay, I guess, because it's Attack isn't so great.

    I know it was intentional, but there are too many :P

  8. I see. Hey spark, do you have any commentaries on that Pokemon I made? I've ALWAYS wanted something with auto-haze, but to offset its usage, I'd have to make its stats fairly low.

    I think its stats can be lowered some more. Its main use is basically the auto-haze, right? It also looks like it learns too many moves naturally, and there are quite a few levels where it learns two or more moves at once.

    Nitpicky stuff:

    The level-up movepool usually has some sort of pattern to it. Some TMs and tutor moves should probably be dropped, like Earthquake and Dive.

    I'm probably missing some more important stuff, so I'll come back to this later.

  9. I call this team: "This is why we have clauses"

    Play with this team with no clauses on.

    376.png

    Metagross@Choice Band

    6 HP/252 Atk/252 Spd

    Clear Body

    Adamant Nature

    - Explosion

    - Meteor Mash

    - Fury Cutter

    - Mud Slap

    Boom. Right off the bat. Don't even stop to think about it. They won't be expecting it.

    Well, actually, I lied. Use Meteor Mash if you're facing a Ghost lead or a lead with Damp.

    The opponent should have lost one Pokemon by now.

    144.png

    Articuno@Leftovers

    252 HP/6 SpA/252 Spd

    Pressure

    Timid Nature

    - Substitute

    - Ice Beam

    - Mind Reader

    - Sheer Cold

    Substitute if you feel threatened, and then Mind Reader + Sheer Cold to take down as many enemies as you can. You don't have to be a king to get them all to hit. Also take care and be on the lookout for enemies with Sturdy. Ice Beam is there for those opponents that wise up to your game and switch every time you use Mind Reader.

    The opponent should have lost two to four Pokemon by now. If they lose any more than that, then you obviously won this.

    235.png

    Smeargle@Focus Sash/Leftovers

    252 HP/6 SpA/252 Spd

    Own Tempo

    Timid Nature

    - Spore

    - Spider Web

    - Mind Reader

    - Sheer Cold

    Smeargle uses the same tactic as Articuno; Mind Reader and then Sheer Cold. Take advantage of your access to Spore and Spider Web.

    The opponent should have lost three to five Pokemon by now, hopefully with at least one sleeping Pokemon.

    235.png

    Smeargle@Focus Sash

    252 HP/6 SpA/252 Spd (EVs don't really matter)

    Technician

    Jolly Nature

    - Trick Room

    - Endeavor

    - Extremespeed

    - Spore

    Be sure to set this Smeargle to level 1. Its job is to set up Trick Room for Shuckle and also to take down the opponent. Set up Trick Room straightaway. Then you have two options: switch to Shuckle, or wait a while and use Spore, Endeavor, Extremespeed. You could also try using Spore continuously to ensure that the opponent's Pokemon are all in dreamland, reusing Trick Room when necessary.

    The opponent should have lost three to five Pokemon by now, hopefully with at least two sleeping Pokemon.

    213.png

    Shuckle@Life Orb

    IVs: 31 all but 0 Spd

    252 HP/252 Def/6 Atk

    Sturdy

    Naughty Nature

    - Power Trick

    - Gyro Ball

    - Earthquake

    - Stone Edge

    This Shuckle is nearly the same as the one HottSushiz posted up earlier. Power Trick against a sleeping opponent (they are all asleep, right?) and let the sweeping begin.

    The opponent should have lost by now.

    344.png

    Claydol@Leftovers

    252 HP/6 Def/252 Spd

    Levitate

    Careful Nature

    - Rain Dance/Sunny Day

    - Rapid Spin

    - Stealth Rock

    - Psychic

    Claydol here is your "insurance" and you can send him in at any time necessary. It can Rapid Spin away Stealth Rock and Spikes, set up Rocks, and also it can change the weather to protect your team's Focus Sashes.

    This team could possibly work, so I appreciate feedback and corrections. :D

  10. Usually I don't relegate Surf and Waterfall to HM slaves because both are usable... although the latter only became usable starting from D/P because before that Surf overshadowed it.

    I have two HM slaves:

    Tropius

    - Cut

    - Rock Smash

    - Fly

    - Defog

    Bibarel

    - Strength

    - Surf

    - Waterfall

    - Rock Climb

    That's all I need.

    This. Four Pokemon and two HM slaves are more than enough to get you through Platinum. Of course, at the beginning of the game, you have to use something like Starly and/or Kricketune before you get to the Great Marsh.

  11. I'm very grateful for the introduction of Mudkip.

    To me, Hoenn always felt like the worst region in my mind, but I can't procure a reason to back up my beliefs. I guess, like Floot said, it was very different from the previous generation, and it felt odd. The added features in R/S/E were a very nice touch to the game, however, and it was probably the most revolutionizing series in the game, from the introduction of abilities to the new berry system to the creation of the Battle Frontier.
