  1. Pokemon Red + Super Gameboy + Super Nintendo = Win

Heck, I can Play it on my Gameboy player or my Original Gameboy even. I'm suprised that this many of us even have ways of playing GEN 1 games, much less the games themselves. It seems the younger generation of Pokemon fan isn't really into the classics. It's a shame, really.

  2. I started playing Pokemon when it came out in The U.S. with Pokemon Blue. Since then, I have purchased at least one of every subsequent Generation of Pokemon games and in my honest opinion, Hoenn was not only the worst region, but the region featured in the worst trio of games. To me, there is absolutely nothing memorable about Pokemon R/S/E. The legendaries aren't even impressive. A big whale? Lame. Sinnoh isn't any good either, but at least with the newer generations they arent destroying the good name of the Great first two regions with the horrible storylines of the latest two. So, i suppose it's overall a good thing that Hoenn and Sinnoh exists. They exist to preserve the integrity of the first two regions.

  3. Haha, I only cheat out of curiousity. Check it out, here's my cheat list for Platinum:

  4. Well, think of the possibilities! With the creation of a set of standards, you could make a set of ROMs able to trade back and fourth between all four generations! It would change the way people hack pokemon games.

EDIT: So, I have given this some thought and I'm wondering if your thoughts parallel mine. In theory, to bridge the trading gap, so to speak, all you would really have to do is make a generation II game, say crystal, compatible with a generation II or IV game. Most likely III, i think, considering if you could figure out how to make this work on a retail cart, the two generations could be hooked together via game link cable. this would basically open up the playing field in regards to pokemon availability and replayability. I'm surprised Nintendo hasn't tapped this goldmine resource themselves. So, what exactly are your thoughts on implementing this?
