Hey, I have the same problem as you did. I can capture or beat the Red Gyarados but it doesn't drop a Red Scale, and Lance doesn't show up. I saved right before the battle and noticed this. When I go back to the shop with the Rocket base I can't use the stairs like you say you did. So I'm stuck right now.

When I tried everything and Lance still didnt show up.

I went to the rocket base that's supposed to be a souvenir shop in Mahogany, used walk through walls, and walked through the guy with glasses down the stairs.

After that I just played the game normally. Don't use walk through walls once you go down there, and don't try to go into Electrode room until Murkrow opens it.

P.S. I really think the All phrases code is doing this. Because I somehow skipped Clair's Gym Battle and the Elite Four.

But ended up using walk through walls to fix my problem again.

So how's the weather modifier code coming along o3o

Oh yeah, are there codes for HG and SS Groudon Kyogre and Rayquaza?

Not for orbs, just to get them from mart guy or in PC.

P.S. Fixed my Gyarados Problem, ended just walking through the stairs into Team Rocket hideout.

Gyradoes code is in my big codelist at my other site in my signature.

I added the red scale itself and tested it and it activated Lance.

Lance won't appear since Red Gyarados doesn't drop his scale.

why do you need to rebattle him so badly?

When I beat mine it doesn't drop red scale

So I need to re-battle him.

Red scale key item code won't work, Red Gyarados has to drop it.

So how's the progress with the re-battle Red Gyarados code?

Wait all you need is redscale?

Simply punch in the key item code and you should have it.

A normal PokeSav'd Red scale doesn't activate the event for Lance to appear.

It has to be a legit, event activating red scale.

I already tried like 3 different key item codes.

If I was able to do it for legendaries, I could probably do it for red gyaradoes.

Red Gyarados doesn't drop red scale when I beat him so I can't progress in the game.

So hopefully a re-battle code will work.

Oh yeah, that could be a possibilty.

I tried it with this shiny code and plugged in the rebattle legendary code, and the legendary event pokemon was shiny.

How do you use Event Edit in HGSS PokeSav?

You screwed up the game's coding.

Because you skipped the entire kanto gyms and battled before you triggered the last badge with Gary, the game is messed up.

This is why you should never use key item or badge codes early.

I'm afraid There's no code to reset Gary. That's the gamesave itself that's messed up.

The only thing I can say is use pokesav to reset some of the stuff. You will lose your badges though.

I kind of have the same problem with him.

Emulators with No$gba has too many problems.
