How do I activate the code ingame??

I am having the same problem! I just spent about 20 minutes reading have the Hex 46h and 47h trying to figure it all out. I finally went to go try out my PokeSav edit and i could not for the life of me figure out how to activate it... Edit: I've found out the problem. Don't use the compact version.
