Update: I managed to make it work but now I’m stuck at level 49, but every task is completed

I think I should also mention that I have all wild zones unlocked, including 20.

Can someone please help me? I tried the method timmyg15 suggested, but when I load my save file, the game takes me to the language select screen, at the begging of the game. Luckily, I made a backup of my save.

the game acts like i never had a save file. should i edit the backup too?

How can I modify all the event flags in order to make Mabel's research appear as completed and get the shiny charm?
