PKVault - Centralized pkm storage management & Pokedex app
anticristian5 replied to chnapy's topic in Saves - Tools
@chnapy I encountered a pretty annoying bug, considering it no longer allows me to open PKVault correctly. I was in the process of putting my complete living dex, both regular and shiny, into storage. I had created over 100 boxes. While organizing the last few boxes, I saw an error message (whose text I couldn't save) that said something like "too many slots" or something similar. I closed and reopened PKVault, and since then it no longer starts up, remaining stuck on the initial Pokeball screen. Is there a way to fix this? I really don't want to start over with work that took me so many hours. f necessary, Here my entire PKVault folder in order to resolve the issue 01 - PKVault.7z -

You've done a great job, the app gets better with every update! I had the chance to input my Pokémon collection into PKVault and I found some small bugs in the sprite visualization, and I have a few suggestions (mostly quality of life) for future releases. [BUG] Alcremie's forms are not all displayed correctly, regarding the sweets. Not Purified Shadow Pokémon from Colosseum (from XD too) can't be moved into the storage section. Totem Pokémon illegal forms too. It would be great to be able to have those forms, even if not legitimate, in the vault. Noble Pokémon forms from LPA are not displayed, even though they appear in PKHeX. Shadow Lugia from XD is displayed with the regular Lugia sprite, even though the correct sprite is displayed in PKHeX [FEATURES] The ability to edit and move Boxes at will. This would be the most convenient update of all. Implement an empty slot that shifts all other Pokémon down by one slot, so it doesn't have to be done manually. The ability to have more than one save file for the same game. Show a logo if the Pokémon has a Gigantamax form. Show a logo if the Pokémon is Alpha. -

Sorry for the late reply. I downloaded the latest version and did some testing. The software is getting better and better. It can truly become the offline alternative to Home. I tried to jot down some features that could be implemented and some bugs I found (some are the ones I already wrote in the previous post): [FEATURES] In both the Pokedex and the storage section, a logo could be added (like the one already used for shinies) to indicate Mega, Gigantamax forms, or – in the case of PLA or ZA – Alpha Pokémon. For Mega and Gigantamax, the sprite of the specific form could also be inserted. In the Pokedex section, a button could be added to switch between the normal Pokedex section and the shiny one with separate sprites. In the Pokedex section, the boxes/squares could be a bit larger. In the “Storage” section, it could be possible to manage boxes, reorder them, and move them. The number of slots in the boxes could also be varied. For example, a 6-slot box for teams. Make it easier to import from save files to storage, by importing the entire box or the entire save file, either by moving it or "attached". Create multiple “banks” with boxes inside them. For example, Bank 1: Normal Livingdex, 2: Shiny Livingdex, 3: Teams, etc. Often the save menu at the bottom is intrusive; it would be useful to move it somewhere else. A quick save button would also be convenient. Also, the menu for moving Pokémon often covers the adjacent slot, making it less easy to move the Pokémon. It would be nice to have a “Vault” section with PkVault's internal boxes and the current “Storage” section to manage the relationship between the save files and PkVault's internal boxes. When you click on a Pokémon, a summary menu with all the info, forms, etc., could appear before the individual files. It would be nice to have a "statistics" section that summarizes information, e.g., number of Pokémon in storage, number of shinies, forms, etc. Maybe also the trainer cards from the individual save files. It would be nice to have the ability to customize box backgrounds. It would also be nice to have a “dark mode” for the app and maybe some themes. It would be great to also have a “Mystery Gift” section that allows importing event Pokémon into the save files. [BUGS] Sometimes when importing a Pokémon, it gives the message "Cannot read properties of null (reading '0')", but reopening the app and importing the Pokémon again makes the error go away. Excessive slowness when copying Pokémon; it takes almost ten seconds. -

Thank you very much, you've been really kind and prompt. Another piece of feedback I have is regarding the Pokedex section. When shiny Pokémon are present in any of the save files, the default sprite shown in the Pokedex is the shiny one, not the normal one. I'm attaching a screenshot of this as well. -

Here are my save files. I'm also attaching a screenshot of the "settings" screen. They were working correctly with the previous version. Only after the update did it start giving me that error message. violet shield lpa -

First of all, thank you so much for this tool, it's what I've always wanted, also because it's the alternative to Home we've always wished for. I wanted to report a bug in the latest version of the software, specifically in the "Pokedex" section. My Switch save files (Shield, Violet, PLA) are correctly detected in the "Storage" section, but in the "Pokedex" section, the software gives me an error: "Cannot read properties of undefined (reading 'generation')". If I remove those save files, the Pokedex section works correctly. I am also attaching a screenshot of the error. Furthermore, in the Pokedex section, when selecting individual Pokémon, the gender differences do not appear (both symbols are displayed), and some forms are shown as present in the Pokedex even if they are not in the save files. Additionally, Pokémon that do not have such gender-based form differences, like Charizard or Dragonite, are marked as having them. I am also attaching a screenshot of my "Pokedex" section. I would also like to suggest a few additional features, such as importing an entire box into storage without having to import the Pokémon one by one, and the ability to reorder the boxes by Pokedex number in the storage section. It would also be interesting to have the ability to create multiple separate spaces to place Pokémon, for example: 1) Living Dex (with its own boxes), 2) Shiny Living Dex (with its own boxes), Competitive Teams, etc. Perhaps the "Storage" section would also be interesting without a division into boxes, but with a single space where all of them could be contained. Thank you very much and congratulations on your work.
