Welcome to this Central Forum, being made by me for all of my questions as I attempt to create a ROM Hack of Pokemon X!! I have no experience or qualifications in Game Design, or Coding, or anything of the sort! Today's topic: The Experience Share.
It should be no secret to anyone that the Exp. Share in X and Y is unbalanced, and ends up making the party overleveled. For the first steps of the actual coding/editing item stats part of this, I want to remedy that!
What I am looking for:
Where/How to begin in balancing the Exp. Share. I am using pk3DS, and am currently looking in "Item Stats" at the Exp. Share.
Key Questions:
Is balancing this as simple as reducing the amount of exp points given by the share?
If it is (or isn't) that simple, what data field am I looking at editing?
Is there any general advice for this process?
