Just realized I should probably add the save Pokemon - Smaragd-Edition (Germany).sav

Yesterday evening while saving my game froze and now states my Savefile has been deleted. I have tried and find out possibilities for recovery, however no luck so far. Using my newly acquired epilogue playback I extracted said corrupted save which I also cannot open in PKHeX (since the device is new, I had not yet done a backup of the save before that happened and I feel devastated about that). Does anyone know any other things to try and at least get the mons back? I used this game as a collection of all weird playthroughs that I have done on my other gen 3 games since 2010, I estimate mons with like 500 total hours spent on this save. I have also read one could try and manually edit the save to try and fix it (something with checksums), but I dont have any experience with this and I could also not really find a guide I could follow. Does anyone have some other resources or ideas that could help here?
