  1. Yep, I was pleasantly surprised to see that the unown accurately track themselves! They're somehow considered different pokemon. I can't figure out how they pulled it off through the editor, though. Must be in the code, or a bug with the editor? Shrugs. To reddit! /j And I did some research on the technical limitations on items, good god it is annoying I get why you didn't bother, now. I might repurpose some items on my own file, though. Or at least try to :') OH and for the living dex, thanks for letting me know! I'm either gonna simply catch and release the pokemon after I'm done with em, or maybe I'll only keep legendaries + new pokemon. We'll see!
  2. Alright I'm back, just wanna say AGAIN how cool this is. And I reread the initial post and finally clocked that this isn't a difficulty hack Anyways, the report: 1, I love the fairy type moves, but I had a heartbreaking realization that the miltank I'd been raising had their refresh replaced with an attacking fairy move, rendering them useless as a cleric LOL. Which is fine, but I did have to go back and re-add the move manually idk the meta of the game, but it might be better to only replace moves of the same utility. 2, there's one (1) dialogue from the archen that breaks in a weird place. Didn't write down which one, sadly. 3, the game hard crashes if you try to sort storage by "swap". But nobody does this, so who really cares. 4, when recruiting the shiny unown, it breaks the recruiting checklist for every other unown (all names turn yellow). I wonder if there's a way to hijack the unown system to blue-name the shiny/regional versions of enemies? Since by default they share the same capture status. 5, it would be such a pain, but the new starters... really need some exclusive items. As it is, they're significantly debuffed compared to the og starters because of that (just beat the volcano with a grass type using their item) Other than that, since finding that auspicious amber tear so early on, I've made it my goal to collect. Them. All. I'm at 500+ pokemon total, with 10 unique shinies and a handful of the token legendaries the game gives you. (I find it very funny how much higher leveled the shinies are than the legendaries). I started on a spreadsheet of info on all the new pokemon because of this, I'll share the link when I'm done if you're interested. Afaik there's nothing like this yet lol
  3. I've put a couple dozen hours into this hack, and I love the level of polish you put into it. Genuinely thanks a bunch for all the effort you've done ^^ Since I'm here, I'll throw down a few balance notes for consideration: 1, the new dungeons overwhelm all other dungeons on the job board, it might be worth making them a bit rarer. 2, eastern forest is far too easy for its difficulty ranking- I jumped up to diamond rank after just a single run because every job was 1 or 2 stars. 3, shoutouts to purity forest, it's super fun and I played through it several times-- but good gosh, that wonder gummy is so op. 4, expanding on the previous point: while this is definitely a subjective critique, imo the game becomes extremely easy with exp share + the boosted IQ buffs + the new Pokémon bringing the relative difficulty of every dungeon down a few pegs. I have no easy solution to this tbh. I'm mainly just curious what that first guy did to bump up the difficulty Other than that, I'm barely halfway through the story so far, so I'll yap if anything else important happens :]
