exactly what i said? i restarted everything from scratch, made sure i was running the correct version of pkhex and everything but it still didnt work

More confirmation. Just restarted a new game, and tried to load the file straight after getting a starter, and just deleted all other pkhex files and redownloaded the new one

i have the same issue
