  1. Hi, sorry if this is in the wrong forum. I couldn't pick between this one and the competitive battling one. In any event, the reason I'm posting is because I'd like to get your opinion on whether Dragon Rage or Aqua Tail would be a better move for my Dragonair to know.[HGSSSPRITE][/HGSSSPRITE]

Ok, between Aqua Tail and Extremespeed which would you pick?

  2. You'd need to defeat the Elite 4's second rosters... after defeating all 16 gym leaders and talking to Professor Oak the Elite 4 will get tougher. After you beat their second rosters Steven will be there and Professor Oak can give you the Kanto starters as well.

Erm, about your EV training question... there is NO specific way to EV train. It's just that a maximum in one stat can be 255, maximum altogether is 510. So you can have 85 in all stats if you wanted (it isn't optimal but just an example).

Yeah, but I heard that if you train one stat all the way up to 255 you lose out on 3 EVs, so a lot of people get two stats to 252 and one to 6. But is my breakdown possible?

  3. My question is about obtaining either Torchic, Mudkip, or Treeko. I've done what all the guides say but Steven never shows up at Silph co. I beat my rival at Mt. Moon, I double battled him against Lance and Clair, and i fought him in the pokemon league building on a Wednesday. Why won't Steven show up? (I gave the copycat girl back her Clefairy doll and Steven told me that Latios is now around, but he isn't at Silph)

Another question: When EV training a pokemon, is there anything to prevent you from making one stat 255, 2 others 100 each, one 30, and one 25?

  4. Alright...so I am going to be training my Poochyena in Attack EVs soon. I have guides and everything, but I just wanted to know....once I accumulate the 252 EVs in Attack, can I move on to fighting pokemon that aren't like...Seaking/Gyarados? Or do I have to continue fighting these until I reach level 100? I'll be using the Protein vitamin to bring up the 100EVs in Attack so I've only got 152 to go, and getting Pokerus on it before moving it to Soul. Also, are the guides correct in telling me that the two aforementioned pokemon both give 2 attack EVs? I just want everything to be correct with training up this Poochyena. :]

EDIT: The bolded section is the only one I still need answered, I figured the rest out myself.

You can move onto battling other pokemon. Once a pokemon has accumulated the EVs they won't be overwritten or anything like that. Only fight random pokemon if you don't care about the other EVs your pokemon has because they will gain other EVs from the non attack EV pokemon.

  5. Ok so ive tried to use the Secret ID code in pokesav but all it does is turn all my pokemon into hacked pokemon even tho they arnt by making it look like they ''aparently met''. and it turns my money to 0

  7. Ah. Well I'm eagerly awaiting the updated version. Entering 22 lines of code will be so much better than having to do 38. ^_^

Oh, one other question. I made a mew that was supposed to be captured in a love ball, but when I put it into the game it showed up as a pokeball. Do you know why that is?

  8. Does anyone know what the information about where you met a pokemon and and the encounter type are for a pokemon obtained from the Celadon City game corner is, or one obtained from bill?

Also, if a pokemon were Level 10, but it already had 510 Effort values the effort values can't be changed can they?

  9. Ok, now I have myself confused xD When you enter a value for SP Attack in the PID generator it inserts as the value for SP Defense on the main page and vice versa. But now they actually match and I didn't edit it on the main page. Does this glitch only happen sometimes?

  10. Thanks for the quick answer. :) I was wondering about one other thing. Since my DS won't work with my computer is it possible for me to trade a pokemon that I captured to someone else and have them find my Secret ID for me? I want the game to think the pokemon really are OT me.

  11. Hey, I found your program last night and I really like it ^_^ It's very straight forward. I have to enter all the codes manually cause my computer is a 64 bit OS which is kinda a pain, 38 lines of code per pokemon XP but anyway, that's what leads me to post here. You've been mentioning that you plan on updating the program and I was wondering if there is any way you could include a box that would let us set which Characteristic we'd like our pokemon to have? (ie: Mischievous, Likes to thrash about, etc.) Last night I made a Misdreavus for myself and put it into the game. The whole reason I want to use a pokemon creator program rather than catching a wild one is because the chances of finding a Misdreavus with the gender, nature and characteristic I want is 1/1500 (and that's not even taking into account the chances of encountering one to begin with.) So after making it and entering all 38 lines of code I found it in the box and the characteristic was wrong. I tried turning off the power and starting the code again but it's the same every time. This is even more ineffectual that catching a wild one I think. I don't want to use the program to make super cheat pokemon that are unbeatable, I'd just like to be able to have the initial properties of the pokemon be to my liking and then I can train them legitimately within the game. Thanks for taking the time to read this.

Oh, I had a couple other questions about the program.

    1. On the PID generator screen, what is the Method thing? I don't understand what any of the options are/mean.

    2. What is the Extra Bytes thing? What do the different option mean/do?
