Hi, I'm really glad you like it this mod isn't abandoned - I have a major update in the works to add a few extra starters and expand the size of the starter pool itself further and a combination of how tedious adding fresh stats is and general life busyness is making it take a little longer than I thought it's definitely happening though! The reason that sprigatito can't evolve in the current version was just due to sprites for its evolutions not being in the sprite repository yet - seems they're both there now though and I believe I've got both of them ready to go in the update I'm working on already, so they'll both be there in the next major release I'm hoping I can find time to get the last remaining stats added in the next few months, fingers crossed!
