help with PPSE

hi there, im fairly new to using PPSE, and have a concern/question.

I have SS, and have occasionally used PPSEDS, and it has worked perfectly, except that there are some things you cant change/edit on the DS version as im sure you can with the regular desktop version.

I downloaded PPSE for my desktop and tried to load up my sav file, but i get this error stating 'invalid file.' Is there something im doing wrong here? ...id hate to have to start over or something if theres something wrong with my sav file =/

It says Invalid cause PPSEDS has support for HG/SS and no one has updated PPSE since Platinum so you won't be able to use it sorry =\

...well that sucks. im guessing the only alternative would be to use pokegen?

and on that note, is there any way to change happiness values or natures of pokemon?

Not too familiar with Pokegen's Editor but I'm sure the hapiness editor is in there somewhere as for natures I'm sure you can change them as well but make sure to chose valid IVs if you do or else your pokemon will become 'hacked' in legality checkers that is if you care enough if not you can just leave it as it is
