Editing Distribution ROM

A while back I used to use PP event files and another program to modify a ROM dump of pokemon distro software I had.

I was wondering if anyone knows what the heck I'm talking about and where to find the program to do that. I have the distro ROM and all that, so please don't misconstrue this. I just need to figure out what I used to modify the software to distribute whatever pokemon I wanted to. IIRC, I could even put in a pokemon I had created and set a date, time, etc for its availability.

I was also wondering if there were any updates on this sort of thing made... Like distro software (that can be used on a DS) that can distribute multiple pokemon. Not necessarily at once, mind you, just a tad more convenient than opening eleventy bajillion distro files on my flashcart.

I'm trying to give one of my friends an awesome birthday and he loves pokemon, so I figured... What better gift than a slew of event pokemon?
