dave0192 Posted June 18, 2010 Posted June 18, 2010 I recently received a shiny Tropius and after running it through legal.exe it comes up Hacked or Unknown. I then checked hex values and all the data shown on pokesav and it all seems to be correct. I tried to understand how PID works but there didnt seem to be a good guide on understanding it, only on how to generate a correct one. Im trying to understand why the Tropius comes up as a hack. tropius.pkm
Aarux Posted June 18, 2010 Posted June 18, 2010 PID problem, yes. It was captured in the wild, so the PID must match. This PID doesn't, therefore... hacked. In this case it should be Type 1, but as you can see the PID isn't listed for that.
dave0192 Posted June 18, 2010 Author Posted June 18, 2010 Thanks I looked at the PID/IV graph in Pokesav and couldnt seem to find that PID anywhere. If it is not there it will always be illegal?
Aarux Posted June 18, 2010 Posted June 18, 2010 Only if it was caught. If it was hatched, you could just generate a PID, no relations to anything involved.
