I just want IVs.

I'm new here, and I don't really understand any of this.

I currently own

Nintendo DSi XL

Action Replay DSi

4GB Nintendo DS SandDisk

Pokemon Heart Gold

I want to use Pokesav to get my IVs, and maybe natures, but I haven't been able to figure out how to back up my game save for Pokesav, and without that I don't see how to make Pokesav work and be legit looking.

I'm going to do EV training and catching all on my own, IVs are just so hard.

What's the most simple way I can do this?

Currently you can't back up the Pokemon save files using the Action Replay DSi until Datel releases a new firmware upgrade to make it work for these games.

Also even if there was already a new firmware upgrade, you'll need a MicroSD card to back it up on which the slot for it is right in the Action Replay DSi (where it loads homebrew, backup saves, export the codelist, etc). You cannot back up save files using the Action Replay to the SD card that's in the Nintendo DSi.

You can try using codes by the Action Replay to get the natures and IVs you want alternately. Just look around for the codes and don't forget to use the search button so you don't ask something that's already been answered.
