Which device should I use to backup saves in Windows 7

Hello, my Windows XP machine died, which I was previously using with a Gameshark DS to backup pokemon games (it worked just fine). However now I need something that works with windows 7, ideally with Windows 7 64 bit.

Should I get the NDS Game Save Plus adapter or the Action Replay DSi?

Does the game save plus adapter work with Windows 7?

Action replays haven't been too reliable and they are terrible with software updates, so I am leaning towards the save adapter plus.

I also want to backup HG/SS Saves. I would also like to backup saves from other retail carts, and all future retail carts.

I understand that I could upgrade my computer to Windows 7 professional to get Windows XP Mode, however that is a lot more costly than buying a new device.
