Help with AR

So i recently bought an Action Replay to use pokesav, but im having some problems. Im using platinum, using some of the normal codes (max money, easy capture etc) and any time I start up the game, the codes dont work.

For the max money cheat, you have to press L+R. I start the game with the code activated, and i press L+R while standing in the pokecenter, and nothing happens.

Whats my problem?

Make sure you are not using to many different codes at once that can make it screw up and also check to make sure the L and R button are working right
