Codes aren't working for me

I decided to make a Slowbro using Pokesav HG/SS ver. 0.03a (compact). I edited the 1st pokemon in my party and filled it out. I pressed OK after. I then clicked on "ARDS codes" checked Pokemon 1 under Party Pokemon and saved it. After that, I connected my Action Replay to the Code Manager. I then dragged the file to My Codelist, renaming the code to Slowbro (1st) and dragged it to Pokemon SoulSilver. After I updated my Action Replay. Finally, I inserted Pokemon SS in my AR, clicked on "*", picked Slowbro, and then Start. However, when I press L + R, nothing happens. I tried blowing on those buttons, and still nothing.

I edited this:

B2110DC0 00000000

to:

62111880 00000000

B2111880 00000000

and still it won't happen. Any help?

Edit: Looks like the compact version doesn't work at all haha. Just used the non-compact version and it worked!
