PokeSav and IDs...

I've made sure on two different DS systems that it wasn't one of my bumpers not working. I can't seem to get the code I made to change my IDs to work on HeartGold. I'm using the latest version of PokeSav for HGSS and I'm not using the compact version, so... anyone else having the ID problem?

I dont think I'm having any ID problems, the only problem I am having is uploading my codes to my action replay manager. Are you not having that problem? It says something like " this is not a firmware file " ?

No, my codes are uploading fine, but the aforementioned ID problem is a pesky one since I'm trying to edit my starter out with an Eevee, but without my secret ID it'd be kind of useless =P

Well can I ask you something? What Action Replay do you currently have?

I use Action Replay DSi. Datel discontinued the model for being incompatible with the DSi, but it's apparently still in production for whatever reason. Works fine on DS and DSL.

Well my current Action Replay I am using is just the Action Replay DS, do you think my problem could be that I need to get the new DSi AR? As for your ID problems I'm sorry I couldn't be more helpful

I don't think it matters as long as your firmware is up-to-date and you have the game ID. Since the ARDSi is discontinued, I doubt it'd be helpful for you to upgrade. They're virtually the same, I used to own a basic ARDS. The only noticeable difference is the interface. It's prettier

Yeah well apparently thats my problem, it says something about the firmware. How do I update it?

Ummm... I don't remember the ARDS interface exactly, but if it's anything like ARDSi, which I'm sure it is, just go up to the top right corner and there should be something about updating your software. If that doesn't work, backup all of your codelists and reset the hardware.

Ok I did the update software thing and it said there is no new software. So how do I backup all of my codelists nd reset the hardware?

Ehhh, I can help you with resetting your hardware, but I've never had to backup codelists so I don't actually know that much. I'm kind of useless, tbqh To reset the hardware you right click at the top of the window and go to "About Action Replay DS Code Manager". There should be a "Reset Hardware" button there. It'll delete all of your codes, note, so until you know how to back them up I wouldn't advise it. Unless you just don't care, in which case be my guest I suppose.

After tinkering with a money code, that also doesn't work. I have the feeling that the entire thing isn't working, actually >.> So, like, is this a problem on my end? Anyone else having trouble out of it? Anyone? Bueller?

I cant seem to find that, do you think uninstalling it and reinstalling it will do the trick?

Maybe. I dunno, we're using two different versions of a program, so my advice isn't really as sound as someone who uses ARDS >.>

OK, well, I'm just going to keep screwing with the game, then. I don't guess anyone has any good answers yet since the game just released today. Fair enough, I had a feeling it was a pipe dream to have this stable on release day

I am having a similar problem in that none of the codes I have created thus far have any effect. The only advice I can give is to make sure that you're not using the compact version right now, as it doesn't export US version codes, but from the sound of it, it looks like that's not the problem. I wish I could be of more help, but I too am having an issue with this and I haven't found any solution thus far...
