Incredibly niche scenario that happens maybe once or twice in a games lifetime for me. I have a modded S1 and a regular S2, both of them running, say Pokemon Scarlet or Pokemon Legends: ZA.

I'd like to bulk-transfer entire PCs worth of pokemon from my S1 to my S2. Typically I will sit on my couch with both switches in front of me, and work my way through the boxes one by one. This takes ~40 seconds per pokemon in ZA (it's a bit quicker in Scarlet) and requires constant attention and user intervention. Naturally I will also need an equal amount of "fodder" pokemon I need to have caught in my S2 game to trade away as well for the desired pokemon. That's like 3 straight hours of non-stop trading for 240ish pokemon for ZA, which is a lot. In scralet, there's a lot more pokemon and it would take even longer.

AFAIK sys-bot is meant to automate trading to a degree. The last time I played with it I could not get it to initiate LAN trades at all, instead having the sys-bot wanting to go online on my modded and banned S1, which obviously doesn't work. I thought "maybe I can use something like pkhex to dump all of the pokemon from my S1 pokemon game into a folder (yes I can), then use sys-bot to trade them over one after the other (no I can't apparently)", doing away with having to manipulate two Switches at the same time. I know it won't go make the trades go any faster, but it means having to handle one less device at the same time, making the process a lot more bearable.

So, how can I get sys-bot to trade me pokemon using local trades instead of faraway (online) trades? If I can do local trades somehow, can I set up the trade bot to "rotate" through a folders contents? I trade it a pokemon, it trades me the first file in the distribution folder. On the next trade, it will be the second file, and so on? I read on the sys-bot wiki that "Trade bots only operate online; local/LAN trading is not supported." Seems to me that the only thing that needs to happen for that to work is for sys-bot to click on "local trade" instead of "faraway trade", unless I'm missing something?

Seems a bit strange to me that in order for me to get what I want, I'd had to use an unbanned switch and go through the internet instead of the local network, doing faraway trades with myself despite being on the same network? Talk about a design limitation, lol.

If anyone has a better method to transfer (lots and lots) of individual pokemon to a game running on a switch 2, coming from a modded switch 1, I'm all ears. And no, I can't and do not want to transfer entire save files over, that process is a bit too destructive.
