The Gears of Progress Posted October 14 Posted October 14 Hello everyone! A few years ago I started development on a Generation 1 and 2 to Generation 3 transfer program that worked all with original hardware, and I’m happy to say that v1.2.0 released a few days ago! Poké Transporter GB uses a multiboot program on the GBA and GBC link cable to communicate between an inserted Generation 3 game and the Generation 1/2 game. Both generations utilize Arbitrary Code Execution to fully create a transfer experience that feels like something that has been part of these games since the beginning! You can check out PTGB on GitHub here, and you can view my development video for v1.0.0 here! A large part of v1.2.0 was the creation of the Pokémon Community Conversion Standard- a trio of conversion methods that allow users to transfer their Pokémon in whatever way they see fit. You can check that out here! I’m hoping for community input on which conversion aspects make sense, so feel free to let me know if there’s something you’d want implemented. Feel free to ask any questions or suggest features and changes- I’m always happy to chat! Thanks!!
Willdabeast Posted October 22 Posted October 22 Is there a guide that show all the things you will need and a step by step of how to load the software onto the cartridge?
The Gears of Progress Posted October 23 Author Posted October 23 At the moment, I don't have a fully written guide on how to load the software- but I am working on it! The best way to load the software is either through a FlashCart, or through Mutliboot. Personally, I would suggest utilizing a Wii with Homebrew and FIX94's gba-link-cable-rom-sender to send the ROM over. After the ROM has been sent over, you can insert the Gen 3 game and continue from there! 1
bowserkoopa64 Posted Tuesday at 06:42 PM Posted Tuesday at 06:42 PM Could you do a tutorial with using a GBA link cable rom sender with a homebrewed Wii? Since totally different cables are used and I don't know how to use the rom sender can you provide a visual guide?
