Pokemon Black 2 - Shiny Rate Boosting Hex Code Help

Hello everyone! I'm here hopefully to get help i've been trying to rom hack my pokemon black 2 to boost shiny rates and I just can't seem to get it to work for me. I've followed two specific guides

I've followed this one for everythting i needed with grabbing the files and the arm9 file

I used this one to edit the Hex code

 
I used 6D for the 08 placement, ported it, and loaded it on my 3DS so whenever i go to open my pokemon summary to check if my starter was shiny my 3DS crashes (crashes as screen goes black and does an audio screech) which i have no idea why. So i restarted my hack and started all the way at step 1 and did the exact same things but this time i loaded the rom DeSmuMe and went to check if my starter was shiny in the pokemon summary an then boom it didn't crash so i then transferred it over to my 3DS and I went to check the summary (again) and it still crashed even though i just checked it in my DeSmuMe.. I don't know what I am doing wrong. My main goal is to just have a really increased chance not where every single encounter is a shiny but like low enough to notice that it is changed. One thing that does happen when I try and load it on my 3DS is that it says "The DSi binaries are missing. please get a clean dump of this rom, or start in DS mode" did i edit a DSI binary code in the Hex code by accident..? I just don't know what is wrong and i am really knew to this kinda stuff so anything will help! if you anyone wants to help please contact me through my discord: Wh1tetulips please and thank you for whoever takes the time!
