Hello, a few years back my brother played some DS games on his old laptop. However, when moving to his current laptop, the saves stopped loading in PkHeX and the ROM's that went with the saves don't recognize them and just start a brand new game. It was only his DS saves, as all his GBA saves are 100% intact with no issues or corruptions. If anyone could take a look and offer any insight I would be extremely grateful.

This is the error message for all four of the saves:

I have no clue if the two Black saves are the same save or if one's Black 1 and the other is Black 2. These are the only pokemon he remembers, all coming from HeartGold Randomized

Shortbread the Rhyperior

Baby the Politoed

Mothim with no nickname

Dixie the Blissey

Again thank you if someone can figure something out.

The two Black saves and the Pearl save only contain blank data (all FF), a DeSmuME footer, and a tiny bit of data, but no real save data on its own, so nothing can be done with those.

The HeartGold save file seems to contain (at least partially) legitimate save data, but I don't know at all how to properly investigate that nor do I know the root cause, so I think for further checks this will need to be done by someone else.

On this, you mentioned the save file is from a randomizer: do you know exactly which randomizer it was, in case the Hack ROM has incidence on the save file format (though do not share the ROM, just knowing the Hack ROM)? May be good to know if someone else want to tackle the topic.
