How to extract Pokemon save data from melonDS .sgm file? (Volt White C-Gear softlock)

Hey everyone,

I'm stuck with a corrupted Volt White 2 save and need help extracting the actual Pokemon save data from a melonDS .sgm file to fix a C-Gear related softlock.

The situation:
- Playing Volt White 2 on melonDS via Delta (iOS)
- Got softlocked due to C-Gear corruption (common issue with this ROM hack)
- I have the .sgm file (7MB, attached) but need to extract the 512KB Pokemon save portion
- Tried the online fix tool but it's currently down (https://nhp.sh/gen5statefix/)

What I've tried:
- Manual hex editing to find the save boundaries
- Extracted chunks from various offsets but PKHeX says they're invalid saves
- The .sgm contains Pokemon data but I can't pinpoint where the actual save structure begins/ends

What I need:
1. How to properly extract a valid .sav file from a melonDS .sgm file
2. Recommendations for tools that can do this automatically 
3. Alternative methods to fix C-Gear corruption in Gen 5 ROM hacks

I can access the file on desktop now if that makes things easier. Any help would be appreciated - I've put a lot of hours into this playthrough and really don't want to start over.
