Hello! (and a couple questions)

Hi folks,

First time user here, I recently got back into playing an old copy of Pokemon Diamond when my girlfriend rediscovered her old 3ds and a stash of games along with it. I haven't kept up with Pokemon seriously since Sun and Moon, so I'm far from up to date on the state of things. Back then, I was using PKHex and Soundhax to add event pokemon in S/M via the sounds app on 3DS, but it's been a long time since then, and I'm looking to get back into it, particularly for the gen IV games this time around. As such, I have a few questions.

 

I still have my old 3DS with Soundhax, and whatever else was necessary at the time (~2017) to edit .sav files for gen VII on it. Is there a method I can use to edit saves using PKHex and Soundhax on my 3ds that will work for gen IV games? If so, could someone please point me in the direction of whatever guide there is for that? Thanks!
