lukanoodle Posted February 7 Posted February 7 So I have a bootleg emerald and a genuine emerald, alongside the "GB Operator" which allows me to download my actual save files from the cartridges onto my pc. My genuine emerald came with a dry battery, so I performed a clean new battery installation myself as I thought that was what was stopping me from importing my bootleg save. I then tried importing my bootleg save into an emulator and it just wasn't loading. I've read on some other forums that because some bootlegs (mine as well) don't have a battery they save someplace else? Which is why it isn't working? Essentially I just want some questions cleared up and some help with transferring my bootleg save to my genuine cart. When I put my genuine emerald into GB operator it says "non-rewritable", why is this? and is there a way to change it so it can be re-written, but I firstly have to figure out how to get my bootleg save file. Any help is appreciated.
