Kenn Posted November 27 Posted November 27 I have some old save files for Pokemon Emerald that I would like to extract the PKM data from if possible. I played Emerald on an emulator when I was younger, and I got all the way to the end. What I didn't know at the time was that the save file would become corrupted after beating the Elite 4, because I had been playing with a 64 KB save file instead of 128 KB. These corrupted save files have been sitting in an old hard drive until very recently, and I'd like to be able to extract data from them if possible. They of course can't be opened in PKHex, and trying to load them in mGBA results in the message: "The save file has been deleted due to corruption or damage." I've found instances of this problem being solved by other users on here but I'm not smart enough to follow the instructions and do it myself. I do not have any older versions of the files to replace the overwritten block data. I don't care about the save itself as much as the Pokemon that are on it. This was the first time I ever played a Pokemon game and I'd like at the very least to extract my starter from one of the files, a Mudkip/Marshtomp/Swampert named "Muddy." If some wizard who finds this could take a look and extract ANYTHING from them, I'd be eternally grateful. Ideally, I want to be able to open them in PKHex and extract all the Pokemon myself.
