Expand Thanks for the reply, I tried Salandit and Salazzle(shiny), I assumed that, given there is a sleeping animation in the dungeon I could use that, but I may be showing my inexperience here.

snoozbuster Posted January 27 Posted January 27 Sweet hack, really enjoying it so far. Are Pokémon recruitable by teammates when using manual control? I suspect not but just wanted to double check. It would also be incredible if the recruitment range increase from DX (up to 2 tiles away) was backported, but I'm not holding my breath for that.

TheMasterSwordMaster Posted January 27 Posted January 27 Started a few days ago, really enjoying the additions and QOL. Question though, does the Ponyta exclusive item Heated Bow apply to only original ponyta/rapidash or also to the galarian versions? Also slight thing i wanted to mention, I liked how talking to the MC as another teammate in manual mode would bring up an ellipsis, but when talking to a different teammate they would always refer to you by name, even if you're a different teammate.

snoozbuster Posted January 29 Posted January 29 (edited) Something I noticed with Alolean Vulpix as the starter is that the AI does not seem to realize that Powder Snow is a room-range attack. Is that a bug in the base game? EDIT: I started messing around with sky temple and found there’s separate values for actual move range and AI move range, and indeed, powder snow is set so that the AI considers it a point-blank move. I assume it was like that in vanilla too - my suspicion is that it ends up being way too oppressive for the enemy AI to spam room moves at you so they’re nerfed somewhat for partner usage as well Edited January 29 by snoozbuster
Zfreak57 Posted January 29 Posted January 29 For some reason, it's taking forever to patch to the rom. Is there a reason for this?

Patched it today just to test it again, without issues with xdeltaUI.

Sand Posted February 3 Posted February 3 Hi! Really excited to play this hack but unfortunately the Piplup starter bug people have mentioned above still seems to be a thing? Tried the newest version from SkyTemple but whenever I pick Piplup, I end up being a Monferno. Not to beat a dead horse but it'd be really great if this could get fixed awesome looking hack anyways!

IHasChins Posted February 3 Posted February 3 I'm planning on starting this once I finish 100%ing Gates and I tend to like to recruit everyone, do you have an exact number of how many (recruitable) Pokemon are in the game? I'm fine if it takes a long time haha
Giraffes Posted February 3 Posted February 3 I'm new to the PMD franchise, having only played mainline series games. You think this would be okay to play through to get the same experience as vanilla? I don't think I want to play without the QOL from the latest games like move shortcuts. Or should I just stick it out and play vanilla EoS first before playing this romhack?

Alot of QoL, and barely any changes to the experience itself. And you can pick more pokemon you eventually would enjoy. There are 0 reasons to play vanilla outside of wasting more time running around. Edit: and the fact you can just use your moves so easily. Definitely play this hack over vanilla. I am very bad at counting past a couple dozen lol also you CAN'T recruit everyone, there's a limit on how many Pokemon you can have (I thiiiiink it's around 554? don't quote me on that)
Giraffes Posted February 4 Posted February 4 Hey, I'm really enjoying the game so far. But item management is kind of slow. Is there a way to reduce the confirmation messages I get when storing and taking items from storage? Like this one, for example:

You can bulk select? Of you mean the confirmation that you indeed wanna take all of those selected items, idk if there's a way to skip through it comfortably.

It just seems a little redundant, since I already went through the trouble of selecting multiple items, pressing A, then pressing A again.. I'm absolutely sure I want to take/store those items haha
