Pokemon Yellow after using pkhex to original pokemon in the box disappear

I am trying to edit in a mew to my pokemon yellow  I have a full party and 1 boxed pokemon. 

I am currently at viridian city . when i edit it in the other  boxed pokemon disappears . it is still visible when I open in pkhex but not in the game.

Any help is appreciated
